Me and Erica went to the Amgen Tour of California Bicycle Race this morning. They had 11 world champions racing this year, including Lance Armstrong. The start of stage 5 was here in Visalia. It is quite a big deal here. The 'Live Strong' team handed out chalk for us to write on the road before the race started for the bikers to see. Here's my tribute...for Dad, Pat and Venita.
Here is the peloton coming round the bend on the corner where we stationed ourselves. It was great fun! I was holding Emily so that Erica could take awesome pictures. She HATED all the noise and let everyone know it! We all thought it was cute and funny and her contribution to the din of excitement! Go Lance!

I know, wasn't it exciting to have them in our little town. Maybe there will be a few less "where is Visaia" comments.
